Getting around the Florida State Capital
Tallahassee got to be the
seat of government for Florida because it was
halfway between the rivals Pensecola and St Augustine,
which at the time were a twenty day hazardous
journey apart. And politicians abhor hazard.
The accidentally bestowed
honor has done the place no harm and it has become
a handsome, well serviced city, as those which
host a great number of civil servants tend to
be.
There are lots of wonderful
country trails around Tallahassee, through ancient
forests, by pristine lakes and just through great
countryside altogether. You need a car to get
to them, and we have it for you.
You can go to our airport
counter on arrival, or you can just click here,
and we'll organise everything for you. |
