is a harbor town located on the central east
“Space Coast” of Florida.
This peaceful city is conveniently
situated an hour south of the Kennedy Space
Center and one and a half-hours east of
Walt Disney World.
The city of Melbourne is
unique in that a small portion of the town
is located on a barrier island, with the Indian
River Lagoon separating the island from
the mainland. You’ll also find several blocks
of cafes, ice cream parlors, antique shops,
gift shops and historical sites in turn-of-the-century
buildings.
Nearby Melbourne Beach offers
pristine white sand for swimming, sunning,
diving, and surfing. The network of bridges
and ferries is complicated and a car is
a must.
